Meet our Starter plan: a $29/month offering that’s great for SEO beginners who are looking to go beyond the basics offered in our Ahrefs Free plan.
Here’s what you need to know.
Who's the Starter plan for?
The Starter plan is perfect if you're just starting out, or want to explore our platform without a big commitment. It's designed for light usage and gives you a fantastic introduction to the potential of the Ahrefs toolset.
If you end up loving Ahrefs and start using our tools intensively, you may outgrow the Starter plan quickly – but don't worry, upgrading is super easy. You can find a new plan that fits your needs right on our pricing page.
What’s offered in the Starter plan?
Like our Lite plan, the Starter plan is credit-based.
On a Starter plan, you’ll get 200 credits each month. You consume these credits when accessing reports and requesting new data from most core tools.
You’ll have access to these Ahrefs tools:
- SEO Dashboard
- Site Explorer
- Keywords Explorer (not included in Ahrefs Free)
- Site Audit
- Rank Tracker (not included in Ahrefs Free)
- Ahrefs SEO Toolbar
- Web Analytics
- Social Media Manager
- Report Builder (1 report, 5 widgets)
- Bot Analytics (while in beta)
NOTE
Site Audit and Rank Tracker do not consume credits since they have their own limits.

Can you buy add-ons on the Starter plan?
Yes. You can buy any add-on on the Starter plan except additional users and additional credits.
That includes:
- Content Kit (AI Content Helper, AI Content Grader and AI Content Inventory)
- Report Builder
- Project Boost Pro and Project Boost Max
- Traffic Analytics
- Custom AI prompt packages for Brand Radar
You’ll find current prices for every add-on on our pricing page.
If you need more credits or want to add teammates, you’ll need to upgrade to Lite or higher.
Terms & Conditions
- Additional users and credits cannot be purchased on the Starter plan. All other add-ons are available.
- You cannot downgrade from a Lite or higher plan to a Starter plan.
- The Starter plan can only be renewed monthly.
- Features and limits on this plan may be changed without prior notice.
