Traffic intelligence that covers every channel

Go beyond search

Most tools stop at organic search. Traffic Analytics shows the full picture, including: AI traffic, ads, social, and more, so no channel stays a blind spot.

Inside the platform you already use

No separate login. All-channel traffic data lives alongside your Ahrefs search and AI visibility workflows.

Ahrefs

Built for competitor analysis

Enter any domain and see how it earns its traffic. Compare channel mixes to find the strategies competitors rely on.

Competitor traffic by channel

See everything driving traffic to any website

Six reports that break a domain’s traffic down to the channel, the referrer, and the page. Pick a report to see what it returns.

Channels

Understand which channels a site depends on, across 10+ channels including AI traffic. Find out whether growth came from paid, referrals, or genuine search demand.

Sources

Go beyond channel labels to the individual referrers sending visits: Google, Bing, Brave, ChatGPT, Reddit, affiliate networks, and more.

Landing pages

Find the top landing pages bringing a site the most visits. See which pages carry a competitor’s traffic, then study them in Site Explorer to learn how they rank.

Previous pages

Discover the pages visitors were on before landing on a site. Find the publishers, forums, and comparison pages quietly sending traffic.

Page types

Learn which types of pages bring the most traffic, so you know whether a competitor wins with articles, tools, listicles, or something else.

Audience overlap

Find sites that share the same visitors, ranked by audience overlap and affinity. Discover who you’re really competing with for the same people, not just the same keywords.

Questions? We have answers

  • How do I check website traffic for any site?

Enter the domain in Site Explorer and open the Traffic section. You get the site’s estimated traffic broken down across 10+ channels, including AI search, with no access to that site required.
  • What is Ahrefs Traffic Analytics?

New tabs in Site Explorer’s Traffic section: Channels, Sources, Referring websites, Countries, Audience overlap, Landing pages, Previous pages, and Page types. Together they estimate a website’s total traffic across 10+ channels, including AI search as its own line. Run it on your own domain or any competitor’s.
  • How is this different from Ahrefs Web Analytics?

Web Analytics tracks real visitor data for a site you own and verify, via a JS snippet: exact, but only for your own domain. Traffic Analytics estimates traffic for any domain, verified or not, so you get the same view on a competitor as on yourself.
  • Is this a separate product from Site Explorer?

No, it is not a new app icon. It is an add-on that unlocks new tabs inside the Site Explorer you already use, sitting next to Organic competitors, Search terms, and Top pages in the same left-hand Traffic section.
  • Where do the traffic estimates come from?

A blend of clickstream and panel data, referral and search signal from Ahrefs’ web index, and modeling to fill gaps for lower-traffic sites. As with any third-party traffic estimator, treat absolute numbers as directional and trends as the more reliable signal.
  • How is this different from other website traffic checkers?

Most traffic checkers stop at search. Traffic Analytics covers every channel, breaks AI search out on its own line, and sits in the same tool as your backlink, keyword, and AI visibility data, so you are not exporting between subscriptions to answer one question.
  • Is Traffic Analytics included in my current Ahrefs plan?

No, it’s a separate paid add-on currently in beta. It’s available with any Ahrefs plan, including Free. Traffic reports are priced at $99/mo or $990/yr. Traffic & Market reports, priced at $299/mo or $2,990/yr, are not available yet.
  • Will beta pricing change at general availability?

Possibly. Beta customers will be given advance notice before any pricing change takes effect on their subscription.
