We’ve got 24 updates this month – from a brand new way to see how bots crawl your site to smarter AI workflows and more flexible reporting across tools.

Let's dive in.

Bot Analytics

Meet Bot Analytics, a new tool that shows every bot crawling your website and the pages they hit, so you can protect your crawl budget from the wrong ones. It tracks bots across 12 categories like AI assistants, search engines, SEO tools, and social platforms.

You can also toggle the “AI bots” filter to isolate AI traffic across all reports.

Getting started requires a Cloudflare integration. Use Logpush for high-traffic sites or a Worker for simpler setups.

Brand Radar

Generate custom prompts with AI

Instead of writing prompts manually, you can now generate them with AI. Select your location and focus areas, like competitor comparisons or pricing pages, then review and refine the generated prompts before adding them.

Tags for prompt grouping

Prompts can now be grouped with tags, making it easier to analyze patterns across topics instead of reviewing them one by one.

Fanout queries in AI responses

AI responses now include fanout queries, which show the additional searches models generate behind the scenes. Think of them as "hidden question" that often reveal useful subtopics to target.

Cited pages report improvements

The Cited pages report has been expanded with new insights. A “pages by source” breakdown shows how citations are split between your pages, competitors, and others, with quick filters for each group.

While the table will show which brands are mentioned on each cited page, along with page type classification and new DR, UR, and traffic metrics.

YouTube “Cited in AI” column

The YouTube report now shows how often videos are cited in AI responses, broken down by chatbot. This makes it easier to spot which formats and creators are favored by AI.

FREE custom prompts

Custom prompts are now included in all of Ahrefs' paid plans (except Starter), so you can start tracking your own prompts right away without needing a separate package.

General updates

Expanded features for Lite+ plans

Several features are now available across Lite+ plans, including:

This opens up more advanced workflows without needing to upgrade.

Cross-tool project navigation

A new project-level navigation lets you switch between tools within the same project, making it faster to move between analysis and action.

AI Content Helper

Content score and word count in document list

Content score and word count are now visible directly in the document list, so it’s easier to spot which articles need improvement. You can also batch export them to Google Docs, or delete and restore them in bulk.

Custom competitors

Instead of relying only on top SERP results, you can now add your own competitor URLs when creating a document. Benchmark against the pages that actually matter to your business.

Improve pages with AI from Site Explorer

Pages can now be sent directly from Site Explorer’s Top Pages report into AI Content Helper, pre-filled with the page and its main keyword. This makes it faster to move from analysis to optimization.

Keywords Explorer

Category filter

The Category filter helps narrow down keywords relevant to a specific niche, making keyword research faster and more focused.

Non-English translations for global terms

International SEOs, you're in for a treat. Global terms now show English translations for non-English keywords, so you can understand demand across languages.

Related keywords in traffic share reports

Traffic share reports include related keywords alongside seed terms.

The reports were built to show which competitors capture the most organic traffic for your seed keywords. Now, you get an extended picture of the niche terms your competitors are quietly ranking for that you might have missed.

Rank Tracker

Import keywords to multiple projects

Keywords can now be uploaded to multiple projects at once via CSV, removing a common bottleneck for teams managing large keyword sets or migrating from other rank tracking tools.

Site Audit

Bulk project settings

Project settings can now be updated in bulk. Select multiple projects, choose which settings to override, and apply changes in one go.

Generate and patch image alt texts

Patcehs got an update too. Missing alt texts can now be generated and patched directly in Site Audit, individually or in bulk. Detection has also been improved to exclude decorative and tracking images, reducing false positives.

Report Builder

Report scheduling

Reports can now be scheduled with flexible delivery options. PDFs are sent directly to recipients, even if they don’t have an Ahrefs account.

API updates

API v3 access on Lite+ plans

API v3 is now available on Lite+ plans, making it easier to integrate Ahrefs data into your own tools and workflows.

Additional endpoints

New endpoints cover custom prompts, Site Audit project filtering, and GSC performance data, so more workflows can be handled programmatically.
