About the Role

We're looking for a Marketing manager to drive our growth in Indonesia. This isn't just about translating global campaigns; it's about building a localised strategy from the ground up, tailored specifically for the Indonesian market. You'll be working to make Ahrefs a household name among Indonesian marketers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the driving force behind Ahrefs' marketing efforts in the Indonesian speaking market, taking a hands-on approach to all aspects of the marketing mix
  • Develop and execute common sense marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition
  • Directly manage the creation and localisation of content, including blog posts, social media updates, email campaigns, and other digital assets
  • Manage all Indonesia related marketing activities including content creation, events, partnerships, and public relations.
  • Lead offers in educating the Indonesian market in SEO/AI Search/AI Marketing best practices, placing Ahrefs front and centre.
  • Organise and participate in key marketing events, such as networking events, conferences and customer meetups, to build relationships and generate leads
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities and continuously optimise marketing initiatives
  • Report on performance to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Significant years of proven experience with results in marketing leadership roles, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry. Primarily focused on localisation and adapting content from English-speaking markets to Indonesian-speaking audiences, creating promotional materials, and organising local meetups.
  • Good knowledge in using Ahrefs product and understanding of its application in the German market.
  • Experience in SEO/AI visibility is considered a big plus
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the Indonesian market. Ideally bringing a global brand to the market.
  • Ability to go after quick wins in the first few months in the role, keep what’s working, and develop a mid- to long-term strategy tailored to the local market while working as a one-person team (to start with).
  • Excellent content creation and digital marketing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality assets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Native in Bahasa, Indonesia and fluent in English, both written and verbal

What Success Looks Like

In 6 months: You've developed and launched the core localised content strategy for Indonesia, resulting in a measurable increase in organic search traffic and engagement from the target audience. We see active participation in at least two key local online communities, and you've identified key influencers for future collaborations. The first localized assets (e.g., specific landing pages, blog posts) are consistently outranking competitors for relevant Indonesian keywords.

In 1 year:Ahrefs is a recognised and respected brand within the Indonesian marketing community, driven by your efforts. You've established Ahrefs as a go-to resource for SEO and marketing insights in Indonesia. We've seen a significant increase in MQLs from the region, directly attributable to your localized content and community initiatives. You've identified a clear path for future market expansion and potentially started building out a small, specialised local team.
