To win in the new search landscape, you need to monitor your brand everywhere.
Enter Ahrefs’ Brand Radar: the only tool that gives you a 360-degree view of your brand across Google, AI search, and the entire web.
In one place. And we mean it.
At its core, Brand Radar is an AI visibility tool that lets you see where your brand gets mentioned in AI platforms, so you can properly position your brand around core AI prompts.
But AI visibility is only one piece of the “brand puzzle”.
Brand Radar helps you monitor the other connecting pieces that influence AI visibility, namely: search demand, web visibility, and video visibility.
In other words, any digital footprint LLMs can parse to discover your brand.

AI visibility
There are plenty of Brand Radar use cases to grow your AI visibility, but if you ask me, there are three main ones.
1. Monitor your brand’s AI visibility
This is a no-brainer, but you first want to understand how AI platforms perceive you before optimizing for them.
Start by typing in your brand and evaluating the number of brand mentions across 6 different AI platforms. You’re either recommended by them or not; it’s that simple.

From here, you can open the AI responses report to see which AI answers mention you.

Or check the Cited pages report to see which URLs get cited in LLMs when surfacing your brand.

This matters because most brand mentions come from other websites, not yours, making third-party coverage critical to your AI visibility.
2. Benchmark your AI visibility with competitors
Once you know what AI says about your brand, go back to the Overview report and benchmark yourself against your competitors.
Specifically, look at the AI Share of Voice (SOV) – how often AI platforms cite your brand – relative to the other brands in the same category.

Then go to Mentions, hover over your brand, and pick Others only to spot AI mention gaps.

Those are answers where your competitors are mentioned, and you ought to be.

Repeat the same process for citations to spot AI citation gaps to further fill in.
3. Research your niche
The final and natural step is to go beyond branded terms and study your niche.
What AI queries and responses are associated with it? What cited pages influence answers on a daily or monthly basis?
Remember, AI platforms are non-deterministic, meaning the same query can return different answers throughout the day. Because of that, there are no stable metrics (like in the old SEO world).
Instead, track the range of your brand’s AI SOV across a specific niche on a daily basis.

To make things easier, cluster AI prompts into Topics to discover new opportunities and make it easy for your content team to prioritize which content to create first to strengthen your topical authority.

Search demand
As mentioned previously, AI visibility doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s built on a lot of factors, including strong SEO fundamentals.
That’s why Ahrefs Brand Radar gives you insights into your brand’s search demand: the sum of all the search volumes from the keywords mentioning your brand (in Google).
This helps you measure the impact of your brand messaging. The more the message gets repeated, the more space it takes up in a customer’s mind, and in LLM search.
If it’s growing, people are actively recalling your brand, directly impacting your sales.
If it’s declining, then a competitor might be increasing their share of memory at your expense.

The chart makes more sense when you’re comparing yourself against competitors. But you can also check the branded keywords for your own brand in the report with the same name.

Web visibility
Another strong SEO fundamental that influences AI search is web visibility.
Namely, all the sites and publications citing your organically. These are the same sites that are being trained on by LLMs to recommend your brand.

Video visibility
The other factor that influences AI visibility is video content.
With YouTube being the 2nd most cited source in LLMs, Brand Radar constantly checks for brand mentions across video titles, descriptions, and even transcripts of YouTube videos.
Think of it like having Mr. Beast’s brand team doing partnerships on your behalf.

The biggest differentiator is that we’re not new to this game.
