Here’s a look at some of the most in-demand product categories you can sell today, backed by customer interest.

Seasonal and holiday decor on sale: People are always looking to save money, and the “shop holiday decor on sale” trend proves it. Smart shoppers are already thinking about next year’s holidays, taking advantage of post-holiday sales to snag decorations at a fraction of the price.

Tech gadgets: Tech gadgets are always a hot commodity, and the “Intel Arc B580” is a prime example. Consumers are eager to get their hands on the latest and greatest tech, so staying up-to-date on new releases in this category can be highly profitable.

Collectibles: Collectibles like “prismatic evolutions” and “surging sparks booster box” are experiencing a surge in popularity. Whether it’s trading cards, vintage toys, or rare coins, there’s a market for unique and sought-after items.

Gaming: With “Gaming pc on sale” (a broader term with high search volume) and likely the “Intel Arc B580” (appealing to PC gamers), this category has a notable presence. People are looking for powerful gaming experiences, and this includes both hardware and software.

Home appliances: Consumers are always looking for ways to make their lives easier, and innovative home appliances like the “Shark Flex Fusion” and “Roborock Qrevo Curv” are attracting attention. This category includes everything from smart home devices to kitchen gadgets and cleaning appliances.

Audio equipment: The popularity of “shop wireless speaker on sale” and “shop turntable on sale” shows that audio equipment is still a popular category. Whether it’s high-end headphones, portable speakers, or vintage turntables, there’s a market for audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

Photography equipment: Products like the “Fuji XM5” are attracting photographers of all levels, from amateurs to professionals.

Food and beverages: The popularity of “iced vanilla berry red bull” indicates that food and beverages can also be successful online. This category includes everything from snacks and drinks to meal kits and specialty ingredients.

Health and wellness: Consumers are increasingly prioritizing their health and wellness, creating a growing market for related products. This category includes everything from vitamins and supplements to fitness trackers and home gym equipment.

Fashion and apparel: Fashion is always evolving, and staying up-to-date on the latest trends can be profitable. This category includes everything from clothing and shoes to accessories and jewelry.

To identify these trending products, we analyzed the growth in search volume of 28.7 billion keywords in Google searches within the United States over the past three months. Our final list reflects the products with the biggest increase in search interest, all manually vetted. Data was retrieved on January 24, 2025.

Ahrefs’ Keywords Explorer gives you access to the same database we used in this study. Follow these steps:

1. Enter types of products specific to your niche (aka seed keywords). For example, in pet supplies these could be “calming vests, car seat covers, cat leashes, cooling mats, dog bandanas, dog collars, gps trackers, orthopedic beds”, etc. Make sure to select the right country.
2. Go to the Matching terms report.
3. Make sure to enable growth metrics in the columns setting (3, 6, or 12 months). 
4. Sort the results by growth. You can also set additional filters, such as minimum search volume or keyword difficulty (KD).

Tip: if your initial keyword list is mixed, use the Ecommerce preset. This will show you keywords with shopping results and/or shopping ads in the search engine result pages.

Examples:

This method shows products sold on ecommerce platforms like Amazon or eBay with the highest growth in popularity on Google Search.

Start by adding keywords related to your niche or do a blank search in Keywords Explorer to search Ahrefs’ entire keyword database. Make sure to select the correct country.

Next:

1. If you’re not doing a blank search, go to the Matching terms report first. Otherwise, skip to step 2.
2. Enter the ecommerce platform’s URL in the Target filter. Set the filter to “Show keywords target ranks in top 10”.
3. Turn on the Ecommerce preset.
4. Sort the results by Growth.
