We’ve got 19 updates this month – from a new and improved Brand Radar to managing social posts inside Ahrefs, to broader AI visibility coverage.
Let’s dive in.
Brand Radar 2.0
Brand Radar now works like Site Explorer, with an Overview and dedicated reports for different kinds of data. The goal is simple: make it easy to explore how your brand shows up across both AI answers and the web mentions that shape them. You’ll see your presence in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot alongside the domains and pages those assistants link to.
Two new reports help you trace influence back to the source and pinpoint where to build coverage next:
- Cited Domains – how often tracked brands are cited in AI responses that link to specific domains.
- Cited Pages – a URL-level view of those citations.
Google AI Mode
You can now track brand visibility inside Google’s chatbot experience within its search product. Google AI Mode rolled out in May in the US; it’s now live in the UK and India too. We’re currently tracking ~3.5M US queries, with coverage expanding.
Google AI Mode is bundled with AI Overviews at $199/month, and it’s also included in the All Platforms add-on. If you’re already on those, your Brand Radar just got better at no extra cost.
More Brand Radar updates
- August data update – ChatGPT and Perplexity now have four months of history; Gemini and Copilot have two.
- Track multiple brands – add more than one brand to the “Your brand” field and see combined Share of Voice.
- Export across Brand Radar for easier sharing and analysis.
- Demo searches – Plus, all paid users get a set of demo queries to try Brand Radar for free.
Plan and publish posts from Ahrefs
Meet our newest feature: Social Media Manager lets you plan, schedule, and manage posts across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and Facebook – directly in Ahrefs.
Connect your accounts under Account settings → Integrations, then draft, queue, and publish from one place instead of hopping across tools. It’s free while in beta, with more updates coming soon.
AI citations
The AI citations widget at the top of Site Explorer’s Overview now includes Microsoft Copilot data from Brand Radar.
YouTube backlinks
Our crawler now picks up links from YouTube videos. Useful if you build links via video or want to monitor branded mentions. Expect more video-sourced backlinks as coverage expands.
Upgraded logic for Ads report
If your target isn’t found in the latest SERP, we look back up to one month and surface the most recent date that includes it – this means fewer gaps and a clearer view of paid visibility over time.
Top Pages upgrades
See the number of referring domains with history, and use the new Columns control to choose which metrics to display.
AI detection accuracy
Scores in AI detector now separate pure AI from AI + human, weigh mixed content lower, and reduce false positives for a truer read on AI usage. Coming soon: very short pages will be skipped entirely for even more reliable results.
AI detection in URL details
The improved AI detection is now built into URL details in Site Audit, so you can inspect content-level signals alongside technical issues. Bulk detection and filtering are next.
Presets
Save frequently used filter sets per user and per project – no need to rebuild them every time. Share across projects if you want a consistent view.
Comparison mode
When you compare between dates, all reports will show a column with metric deltas. It’s a quick way to spot shifts and trends at a glance.
Visibility trend in Performance
The performance charts in GSC Overview and dashboard now include a Visibility trend so you can quickly spot SERP shifts and see if they affect your traffic. Export if you need the detailed values.
URL filters + presets
You can now filter by URL in Overview and Keywords. Paired with presets, this makes it easy to save page segments and jump back to their data anytime.
Per-project keyword limits
Set a cap on tracked keywords per project. This helps enterprise teams control scale, but it’s just as handy if you want to keep projects tidy.
Search volume chart
Performance Overview now shows a chart with the total search volume across all tracked keywords – a fast read on overall demand. For the most accurate picture, use Monthly volume mode.
New Site Audit Issues endpoint
A new Site Audit Issues endpoint lets you pull the current list of issues for any project or compare across dates to see newly affected and fixed URLs – handy for automated QA, dashboards, or alerting flows.

That’s all for this month. Leave any feature requests on our Canny board. Enjoy!
