1. Prohibited Content
The following is prohibited:
adult content, illegal or otherwise, such as nudity, pornography and non-consensual intimate imagery;
child content that is unauthorised, or exploits or abuses minors, including child grooming, sexualisation of a minor and child trafficking;
violent, gory or ultra-graphic content such as dismemberment or close-up footage of mutilated corpses;
any content that constitutes, facilitates, promotes or encourages illegal activity, including violent crimes and the sale or consumption of prohibited, regulated or controlled goods and services such as alcohol, gambling, pharmaceuticals, substances, tobacco, firearms and weapons;
any content that constitutes, facilitates, promotes, encourages or may be interpreted as harassment, bullying, threats, violence, terrorism, self-harm, discrimination or hateful or derogatory or defamatory speech, whether it is against an individual or a group of individuals;
any content that facilitates or promotes the activities of violent non-state organisations and movements, including promoting violent ideologies, inciting terrorist acts and celebrating acts of violence;
any content that impersonates or misrepresents an individual or organisation or provides misleading information about an individual's identity or qualifications or organisation's products, services or business;
any content that is false, misleading or deceiving, including false content relating to civic and democratic processes, harmful conspiracy theories, hoax, harmful health practices and manipulated media;
personal or confidential information, where the necessary authorisation or consent has not been obtained;
any content that constitutes, facilitates, promotes or encourages phishing, scam or spam; and
any other content that may reasonably be regarded to be objectionable, profane, indecent or otherwise inappropriate.
We may make exceptions to our Content Policy based on educational, documentary, scientific or artistic considerations, or where harms are outweighed by substantial benefits to the public.
2. Violation of Content Policy
If you identify or come across content which you believe is in violation of our Content Policy, please report it to us at [email protected]. All appeals are subject to our review and may not be available in all circumstances.
Ahrefs reserves the right, at our sole discretion and determination and without liability, to take any action in relation to content we deem to be in violation of our Content Policy, including but not limited to removing or deleting such content, disabling a user’s access to our services, and reporting a user to relevant law enforcement authorities.
If you have been actioned against, you may appeal our decision by writing to us at [email protected]. All appeals are subject to our review and may not be available in all circumstances.
