Claude<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/claude.ai\/\">Claude<\/a> is a ChatGPT alternative developed by Anthropic\u2014a company built from the ground up by ex-Open-AI employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of my favorite things about Claude is that it\u2019s got personality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Far from just building a large language model, Anthropic have created a personal assistant with distinctly \u201cgood\u201d characteristics\u2014thanks to the expertise of their \u201calignment fine-tuning team\u201d\u2014which is made of philosophers, no&nbsp;less.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/iyJj9RxSsBY?si=vlfbiNGwKdOIxHsr\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With all its fine-tuning, Claude\u2019s responses tend to be a lot more interesting and helpful than ChatGPT\u2019s. Its conversational prowess may also have something to do with its much larger \u201ccontext window\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Claude\u2019s free plan\u2014Claude Sonnet 3.5\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/news\/claude-3-5-sonnet\">can process 200K tokens<\/a> which is the equivalent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.anthropic.com\/news\/claude-2-1\">roughly 150,000 words<\/a>, or over 500 pages of material. This means that it can recall 150,000 words in its \u201cmemory\u201d before it starts forgetting bits of the conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ChatGPT\u2019s free plan, the GPT-4o mini, falls short of this with only <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/index\/gpt-4o-mini-advancing-cost-efficient-intelligence\/\">128K tokens<\/a>\u2014or 96,000 keywords. That ~50,000 shortfall means ChatGPTs responses can be prosaic by comparison, because it doesn\u2019t have access to the same amount of context as Claude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of my other major gripes with ChatGPT, as I\u2019ve already mentioned, is that it really likes the sound of its own voice<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s an example of what I mean. The other week I was searching for the causes of shoulder subluxation (one of my many, many ailments). Ahrefs AI Keyword Suggestions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Plenty of SEOs and marketers use ChatGPT for keyword research. That said, I did notice a few peculiarities in its output. For instance, it merged company information for lyrics site Genius.com with another domain of a similar name.
