Here, you will find several different pre-set features that Yoast offers. This is where you can verify your site with different tools, including Bing and Google. Also, having the wrong <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/schema-markup\/\">schema markup<\/a> can negatively impact your rankings on the search engine results pages (SERPs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would advise you to leave these settings as they are. If you do want to prevent search engines from indexing certain pages\/posts or use a specific type of schema, make those changes in the individual page settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advanced options<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For the most part, it is best to leave the advanced options alone unless you\u2019re a seasoned SEO. Here are some of the added benefits of Yoast SEO Premium:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to add synonyms and related keyphrases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Internal linking suggestions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Redirections manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>404 monitoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orphaned content finder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Free access to the Yoast SEO academy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Yoast SEO Premium costs $99 per year, per website. For me, the advanced features are a must. But if you want more advanced control, for me, Yoast starts to fall flat compared to other SEO plugins.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of the more advanced features that you can find in the free version of competing plugins like Rank Math or All In One SEO are either only available with Yoast\u2019s premium features or are non-existent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, Rank Math\u2019s free plugin allows you&nbsp;to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add redirections (available with Yoast Premium).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor 404 pages (available with Yoast Premium).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automate image SEO (automatically add alt text and image titles).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integrate with Google Analytics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instant index.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use advanced webmaster tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do local SEO (only available as an additional paid plugin with Yoast&nbsp;SEO).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work on WooCommerce SEO (only available as an additional paid plugin with Yoast&nbsp;SEO).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"966\" height=\"546\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image20-2.png\" alt=\"Rank Math SEO plugin features\" class=\"wp-image-162709\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image20-2.png 966w, https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image20-2-680x384.png 680w, https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image20-2-768x434.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 966px) 100vw, 966px\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">An example of some of the advanced features included in Rank Math\u2019s free plugin.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you only need some basic SEO help on your personal blog or business site, then Yoast works great. But if you need an SEO plugin for multiple sites <em>and<\/em> you want advanced features, this can start to get costly. If so, it may be time to consider a different option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Yoast SEO is an excellent tool for improving your website\u2019s SEO. It can help you analyze your content and make sure your blog posts are optimized for search engines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The premium upgrade has some excellent features to take your SEO efforts to the next level. However, it is important to note that Yoast is not a one-stop shop for all of your SEO needs.
