This is what makes Google autocomplete a good source of long-tail keyword ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how to use Google autocomplete to find keywords that are long-tails:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Search for a simple topic on Google<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cycle through autocomplete results until you find a long keyword<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check traffic to the top-ranking page with Ahrefs\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/traffic-checker\">free traffic checker<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if we start with \u201chairstyles,\u201d we can easily get to \u201ckorean hairstyle for girl long hair\u201d in seconds just by scrolling through the suggested searches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"604\" height=\"458\" class=\"wp-image-151030\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/image2.gif\" alt=\"Using Google autocomplete to find long keywords\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But we then need to check that this isn\u2019t just an unpopular way of searching for a popular topic. That\u2019s what we&nbsp;want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just because a keyword is a long-tail one doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it\u2019s easy to rank for. There are plenty of examples of high-competition, long-tail keywords.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, \u201cvpn for beginners\u201d only gets an estimated 40 monthly searches in the U.S., but it has a hard Keyword Difficulty (KD) score of 50\/100.
