But look at it from a long-term perspective, and holidays are actually evergreen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the foreseeable future, holidays like Valentine\u2019s Day, Black Friday, and Christmas are <em>always<\/em> going to be big shopping seasons. That means from an SEO perspective, <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/search-intent\/\">search intent<\/a> isn\u2019t likely to change much.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So rather than creating new pages every year (and deleting old ones), it\u2019ll be much better to create an evergreen page that you\u2019ll update one or two months before the holiday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This way, you\u2019ll retain the link equity, continue to build authority to that one page and, hopefully, appear at the <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/how-to-get-on-top-of-google-search\/\">top of Google<\/a> for your target query every&nbsp;year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, that\u2019s what TechRadar does every year for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techradar.com\/black-friday\/black-friday-deals-sales\">\u201cBlack Friday deals\u201d page<\/a>.
