Even better, the only bit you need to change between pages is clarification of the service offered. Create an \u201cabout\u201d page<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Most plumbers have an \u201cabout\u201d page even if they\u2019re not invested in SEO. What you\u2019re looking for are results that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Have few or no backlinks <\/strong>\u2013 Because you don\u2019t want topics where you\u2019re likely to need lots of backlinks to&nbsp;rank.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Were published by other similarly sized plumbing companies<\/strong> \u2013 Because you want to know that businesses of your caliber can&nbsp;rank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get search traffic <\/strong>\u2013 Because you want to confirm you can get traffic by ranking.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, a page from a small plumbing company in Washington with just six backlinks gets an estimated 1,024 monthly search visits. Take cues from the top-ranking results to infer what people want.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Make it easy to read <\/strong>\u2013 Use images, lists, subheadings, and other formatting to make it easy to skim and digest.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Write a compelling title <\/strong>\u2013 More people will click a post titled \u201c10 <strong>Fast &amp; Easy<\/strong> Ways to Increase Water Pressure in Your Shower\u201d than \u201c10 Ways to Increase Water Pressure in Your Shower.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use a short, descriptive URL<\/strong> \u2013 <code>\/increase-shower-water-pressure\/<\/code> is better than <code>\/10-fast-and-easy-ways-to-increase-water-pressure-in-your-shower\/<\/code> because the latter will get cut off in the search results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">C. Get links to&nbsp;it<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Blog posts that rank often attract links naturally, but they rarely rank without links. It\u2019s a catch-22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can get links to blog posts using the tactics discussed in chapter #7.
