Keywords Explorer<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4><strong>New Traffic Potential metric<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s an exciting new <strong>Traffic Potential <\/strong>metric in your <a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/keywords-explorer\/google\/sg\/overview?keyword=calbee%20potato%20chips\">Overview<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/keywords-explorer\/google\/sg\/ideas\/matchingTerms?keyword=calbee%20potato%20chips\">Keyword ideas<\/a>&nbsp;reports.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p><div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default aligncenter\">\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/1-trafficpotential.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Traffic potential shows you how much organic traffic the #1 ranking page for your target keyword receives from <strong>all the keywords that it ranks for <\/strong>in your target country. Site&nbsp;Audit<\/h2>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Search for any HTML or text content in a&nbsp;crawl<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Big news: we now store HTML and page text in Site Audit! So after finishing a crawl, you can search for pretty much anything within the content of your&nbsp;pages.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>With most website crawlers, you have to first configure a custom search or code extraction before running a crawl \u2013 in other words, if you made a mistake in your configuration, you\u2019d have to start a new crawl. But since we store all the data on our end in Site Audit, you can run searches without having to go through this trouble.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of use cases for this: since you can find all instances of any term across a website, you can find parts of your website using an older version of a template. Or, search for tracking scripts to find all pages where they\u2019re not present. Or do the opposite and look for all pages that have those tracking scripts.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>To analyze an individual page, click on a URL in Page Explorer and select HTML source. Site Explorer<\/h2>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Navigation updates<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve updated the navigation bar.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>In the sidebar menu, Site Explorer 2.0 reports are now the default. You can still find archived versions of the old Site Explorer reports at the bottom of the menu, under the \u201cLegacy\u201d section. The only exception is the Overview report \u2013 since Overview 2.0 is still being fleshed out, we left both reports at the&nbsp;top.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Paid pages 2.0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>New release time: this month, it\u2019s the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/v2-site-explorer\/paid-pages\/subdomains?country=all&amp;target=ahrefs.com\">Paid pages report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s basically our Top Pages report, except that it shows you a list of pages that are ranking in&nbsp;ads.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>As with Top Pages, you can click on&nbsp;<strong>Compare pages<\/strong>&nbsp;in the history chart to compare paid data for up to 10 pages on your target. Plus, we now show&nbsp;<strong>paid traffic<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>paid traffic cost<\/strong>, which we didn\u2019t show in our paid reports before.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/4-paidpages2.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changes in \u201cAll countries\u201d mode calculation<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>In&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/v2-site-explorer\/overview\/subdomains?chartMode=perf&amp;country=all&amp;target=ahrefs.com\">Overview 2.0<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/v2-site-explorer\/top-pages\/subdomains?compareDate=prevMonth&amp;showTitles=0&amp;target=ahrefs.com&amp;volume_type=monthly\">Top pages 2.0<\/a>, we\u2019ve changed the way we calculate the total number of keywords in&nbsp;<strong>All countries mode<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Before, when you ranked for the same keyword in two different countries, we counted it as&nbsp;<strong>two&nbsp;<\/strong>keywords. But now we only count it as&nbsp;<strong>one<\/strong>. This means that you can expect to see a&nbsp;<strong>30 \u2014 40%<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>drop<\/strong>&nbsp;in the number of keywords reported.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/5-allcountrieskeywordcalculation.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Country comparison on history chart<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>You can now compare countries on the history chart in Overview 2.0.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Just click on&nbsp;<strong>Compare countries<\/strong>&nbsp;in the chart itself to add&nbsp;them.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/6comparecountries.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>You can also add countries from the&nbsp;<strong>Traffic share by country widget<\/strong>&nbsp;below by clicking on these \u201cadd to chart\u201d icons. Or, click on \u201cCompare top 5 on chart\u201d to replace the graph above with the top 5 countries.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/7-compareonchart.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New organic traffic widget<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Also in Overview 2.0, we\u2019ve added a new widget&nbsp;that breaks down the pages on a website into buckets according to the amount of organic traffic they get. This helps you to understand how traffic is spread out across a website\u2019s pages.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>There are six buckets of pages, ranging from zero traffic to 10K+. Each bucket has two bars which represent the number of pages and the total amount of search traffic these pages get. Use this toggle to see values in percentages.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/8organicpagesbytraffic.jpg\" alt><\/figure>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Here, we can see that almost half of our total blog traffic goes to only 6 pages. And over 400, or nearly 30%, of pages on our blog get zero traffic from search. You can click into either bucket for more details.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sort by changes in traffic and ranking positions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>One last update in Site Explorer \u2013 this one\u2019s a small quality of life update for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/app.ahrefs.com\/v2-site-explorer\/organic-keywords\/subdomains?country=us&amp;direction=asc&amp;sort=positionChanges&amp;target=ahrefs.com\">Organic keywords report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\n\n<\/p>\n<p>Changes in traffic and ranking positions are now displayed in separate columns and can be sorted. With this, you can see the biggest winners or losers over a time period, whether it\u2019s month over month or year over year. For keywords in the US, we\u2019re using a new estimation algorithm that we believe provides more accurate search volume estimates than our competitors.
