Backs up my experience-based opinion that Alexa may be useful in the US but is hopeless for sites in Australia / Oceania where I am working.
It’s also worth asking WHY you want the traffic figures.
Sometimes you don’t need completely accurate data, you just need data which is consistent enough to make comparisons. For example, which of these two websites is getting more traffic? Or, is this website getting more or less traffic over time? Answering these questions helps you make decisions about where you want to guest blog / advertise / partner, even if you don’t have accurate data!
