Did you know that your website rankings in Google may be different depending on a device that you’re using?

I mean people using Google on their mobile phones will get slightly different results from those on a desktop PC or tablet.

Here’s how Google puts it:

Will desktop and/or tablet ranking also be affected by this change?

No, this update has no effect on searches from tablets or desktops. It affects searches from mobile devices across all languages and locations.

Track Your Mobile Rank

Last week we have added a brand new tool to Ahrefs SEO toolset – Rank Tracker.

Well, the fact that we’ve already released it doesn’t mean that we won’t ever update it with new features.

And I guess many of you have noticed an extra column that recently appeared in your Rank Tracker reports:

mobile rank tracking

Now you can see your “desktop” rank and your mobile rank side-by-side!

How cool is that?

Uncover Your Competitors’ Ads

This is actually a “month-old” feature, but since it was released BEFORE I started doing these quick “what’s new” posts, I felt it was necessary to mention it today.

Originally Positions Explorer tool was showing you the organic keywords that your competitors rank for in Google.

But you may have noticed a brand new list of reports in the sidebar of this tool, called PPC RESEARCH:

Positions Explorer can now show you all the paid listings that we have found in Google based on our database of keywords.

My personal favorite is the Ads report, as it gives you quite a comprehensive overview of your competitor’s ad strategy.

Here are the ads that pop in Ads report for zappos.com (#1 listing wasn’t something I expected to see):

La Fin

That’s is! I promised you to keep it short!

Enjoy your new features and let me know if there’s anything else we can add there!

Can you guess what we’re going to release next week?

Check back next Monday!
