It’s Wednesday again!
Which means I have a new episode of Oversimplified SEO for you and I’m really keen to get some feedback on it!
Let me know if this situation sounds familiar:
You tell someone you do SEO and they immediately ask,
“How much would it cost to rank my website high in Google?”
Sounds familiar?
But have you ever heard someone asking you something like:
“How much would it cost to retain high positions in Google?”
I’ve NEVER heard a question like that!
It seems like everyone thinks that SEO is a “set & forget” thing.
But it’s not!
How Retain Your Top Position In Google For EVER!
NOTE: if you’re enjoying my “Oversimplified SEO” series I invite you to subscribe to Ahrefs YouTube channel.
Here’s a quick recap of what I talk about in this video:
Even if you’ve managed to build a lot of links and get to the top of Google SERP, that does not mean you’re going to stay there for ever.
The odds are you’re not the only person who wants to rank high for that keyword. Other people are probably building links too, hoping to outrank you someday.
This is a linkbuilding race that never ends.
And one of the best strategies to keeping all your rivals far behind is to keep an eye on the new links they get and replicate as many of them as you can.
You should always be one step ahead of your competition if you want to outrank them.
That’s it! Watch my video for a more in-depth look and let me know what you think!
PS: I didn’t make it to Ahrefs office this time, because the battery in our door lock died. So this episode was recorded outdoors. Hope you’ll like it anyways!
