We’re very happy to update you on the upgrade of our service to a new datacenter that will allow us to accelerate the pace of product development and serve our users better.

The team at Ahrefs worked very hard last week to complete moving entire service to a new datacenter.

What does the upgrade mean to you?

  • Fresher data
  • Faster loading

We’ve been doubling our hardware every 9-14 months over the last 4 years. It is always challenging to move several PetaBytes of data from hundreds of servers. But at the same time it will allow us to leverage Moore’s law to serve you better.

We tried our best to guarantee the moving was successfully accomplished without downtime. The only thing you probably have noticed is we have no data on New/ Lost domains from Oct 13 to Oct 21. This is how it looks like:

With the update this time around, we expect to gain two times better coverage, speed and refresh rate.
